Mason's 8 MONTHS!

Mason is EIGHT months old! Where has the time gone? Time with kids just goes way too fast. My little man is growing like a weed, and is into ABSOLUTELY everything! He is a crawling critter, loves to stand all on his own, jabbers up a storm, and the Wiggles make him (and Mom!) very happy. Nate blessed him on his 8 month "birthday" last Sunday. It was very special, and full of love. Thanks to everyone who came out to support him, and everyone who had him in their thoughts! I have been a truly horrible, no good, very bad blogger. I AM SORRY! It turns out working 40 hours a week, being a full time mama, and "trying" to keep a clean house makes for a busy schedule!! Here is my attempt to catch up! Pictures, pictures galore! 4th of July in Filmore, play time at the cabin with the cousins, and some randoms around the house :) Enjoy!!

Here is a picture of Mason then. On Christmas Morning, about a week old....

Here is Mason now! 8 months old, Mohawk and all! He is a smile machine, and a ball of energy! We sure love having him around! I am not sure what we did with all our time before he lived here too!

Collin, Bree, and Mason. In the super cute bear hats Aunt Ranell made.

My kid is 100% ham. His facial expressions always crack me up.

This would be the first time I found him standing up without help.

We took him to Target in July for some quick pics. I thought it would be cheap, and fast. Oh, the fast part was spot on. Cheap it was not. Why did my son have to look SO CUTE in EVERY picture?

This is the FABULOUS Kristi G chair we got off my beloved BabySteals. It lets him sit up like a big boy, and eat his yogurt treats. So fun.

The 4th of July, so fun. These would be the Babylegs I decided Mason HAD to have a few days before. So they were rushed here, and arrived just in time. See, I told ya he's a ham.

We spent the 3rd of July in Filmore. It was so fun. We took Mason to the parade. As you can see, he didn't mind one bit.

I got the lucky chance of having both boys in our hotel room when we stayed the night right outside Filmore. They are so sweet sleeping. I love this picture.
Mason, and cousin Capri at Great Grandma Whicker's house. I think she wants him out of her chair.

Another at Great Grandma's, with her in the picture too.

There's my ham.

Mason LOVES bath time. We can't bathe him in the sink anymore. He figured out the perfect way to kick his legs to maximize the amount of water he gets all over the floor. Now, he kicks in the big tub. Much more room to play.

6 Months!

THEN.. December 19th, 2009 (4 days old)

NOW... June 15th, 2010 (6 months old)

My baby, is not a little baby anymore. Mason is 6 months old, and time has FLOWN by! We took him to the pediatrician Tuesday, where, he of course had to flirt with all the ladies! By the time we left he had melted the hearts of a handful of women :) He cracks me up. Here were my favorite little boy's stats:

Height: 50th Percentile, 26 1/2 inches
Weight: 25th Percentile, 16lb 3oz
Head: 75th Percentile

The good news? He is starting to finally grow into that massive noggin of his! And his flat head, no longer a worry. Woosh. That makes mama a happy girl! I did not want the poor bug playing all summer in a hot helmet! The pediatrician also commented about how ticklish my boy is! Mason would just giggle while he was being checked. It was precious! Mason has been such a light in our lives, and brings so much joy everywhere he goes. This summer is going to be so much fun! Having children brings a whole new element of excitement to life! As always, here are the pictures!

Graduations

My sister Kallyn, and Nate's sister Makenzie both graduated from high school the first week of June. (All the fun pictures of Mason are at Kallyn's graduation. Mason provided entertainment during the downtime) We are so proud of them both! (And I must say, I am EXTREMLEY pleased to not have to attend another graduation for quite some time... they are B.O.R.I.N.G. I remember mine being so much more exciting... Probably because I was (okay, am) a self involved snot who thinks everything I am apart of is freakin' awesome!

Kallyn will be heading to Logan this fall to attend Utah State University, much to Mason's dismay and heartbreak. She wants to be a teacher. And I am here to tell ya, she will be a REALLY good one! She has patience up the wazoo, and is always nice... Kiddos love her.

BUT, luckily, Mason will not be too lonely, Kenzie will keep going to Weber State, where she has been going all throughout her senior year. (Wish I could have been so smart!) So Mason will still have someone to play with. She wants to be a nurse. She is so determined, and knows what she wants. She will be a fabulous nurse, all the boys will wait in line to be her patient :)

These girls are both incredibly smart, endlessly talented, and have bright futures ahead of them! Love ya both!

Bad Mama :(

Yes. The rumors are true. I am officially a bad mother. Memorial Day was so busy. Running here, running there, dragging Mason everywhere! We went to Brigham City to visit Great Great Grandpa Austin's grave, and spent some time enjoying the sunshine. We then made our way up to Logan, and visited some other family graves.... And we were apparently out in the sun WAY longer than I thought, because my poor baby got his first sunburn. His huge head must just attract those sunbeams like a beacon. His little cheeks are so toasty. Lesson learned- Time for this mama to invest in some safe baby sunscreen.

But, I mean honestly. My son had to wear his snuggly teddy bear suit outside a week ago so that he wouldn't FREEZE! And now the poor kid, a whole week later, got FRIED. I just can't keep up with all the weird weather! But poor Mason paid the price this time :( Thanks alot Global Warming!!

P.S.- Long days playing outside with my Daddy, Grandpa, Nana, Aunt Kallyn and all my other fun family people wears me out. I completely passed out in my mama's lap after bath time on Memorial Day. Can't you hear the snores ;)

Big Boy

Mason thinks he is so big, that he can hold his own bottle. He really likes to be independent.

The picture below was taken mere seconds after the first. Mason is a piggy. He does not appreciate when the food runs out.

Ah. And a random goody. My silly baby. I love, love this boy. He makes the funniest faces, and screams like a girl when he gets excited. It's awesome.

Ladies Man

Yesterday we went to the weekly dinner that is held at my grandparent's house in Salt Lake. My cousin Charmone had her stepsister with her. And I am here to tell ya, Angeline is a doll :) Everyone wanted them to have a little impromptu photo shoot, so here is the result with my Iphone camera! They are pretty cute, right?! The first picture is my favorite, because Mason looks scared out of his mind! (Or like he is going to eat her, I'm

Ugh, I love this little boy, and I enjoy him so much!! He is such a social, and happy kid. He brings so much joy wherever he goes. Oh, and PS- LOOK! He finally has enough hair for a "mini" fohawk style! Nothing like cousin Collin's beautiful head of hair, but we will take the few sparse hairs we can get :)

So much to say, so little time...

So, the blog has been left to fend for itself the last few weeks! I am a neglectful blogger - please don't turn me in! I promise to turn it all around!!

For the last few weeks, I have been crazy busy!! Be glad you didn't stop by my house!! WHAT. A MESS. It is funny how just a few days of skipping out on the tidy/pickup time can make the whole house look like a pack of angry trolls whipped through on a wicked rampage! It is driving me WILD. I am by no means a clean freak, but sheesh. The clutter is starting to creep into my dreams... In which case I know it is time to suck it up, stay up late, and clean!! Why so busy you ask?! Well. There are several factors! Lets start at the top!

Factor #1- Mason.
Oh, how I love my little boy! He is precious. He is smiling more, giggling out loud, babbling profusely, and is absolutely spoiled rotten!! He loves to be held. But only if you let him stand up, please. If you try to get him to sit, he will use his newly found voice to loudly protest. So, I found him a Jumperoo on KSL, thinking to myself, "Perfect! This will buy me some time!". Oh, boy. Sure! He will stand in it! If... You sit on the floor next to him :) Spoiled, spoiled bug. But, he is growing so much before my very eyes, I am so willing to play, and watch his every move as he demands it. He is 5 MONTHS OLD today!! Holy smokes! I could cry :(

Factor #2-
Church.
I love it! The picture is my scripture cover... I mean look at it! Doesn't it just make you want to open them up and read?! Reading church history books, watching church movies, praying at night, and nagging Nate. Ahh. It is so much fun. And it is so totally worth it! I really enjoy Sundays. I look forward to them infact. I cannot wait for Mason to be old enough to sing me church songs. I am hoping to get a calling! (Even though my time is not overly abundant!) I would love to be able to give back, and learn more, and more!

Factor #3- Babysteals.
I posted about this awesome, extremely addicting, love affair for mama's all over the country a few months ago. Am I spending all my time stealing? Kind of. I work for them!! Ah, it is the COOLEST job, and I work with the most FABULOUS people I have ever met! What do I do there you ask? Well, if you ever email into orders@babysteals.com, you just might get a reply from me! (Or the amazing Em J!!) Or, if you hop by our Facebook page www.facebook.com/babysteals, and show us some love, I may return the favor! It has been a whirlwind blast. My schedule has been bananas as I have learned from Em J, and grasped all the greatness that is Babysteals :) I still have MUCH to learn, but I am loving every second of it!!

So in a nutshell. There's the factors that all add in to my crazy world!! I will do a better job of updating the blog... Promise! AND last, but definitely not least... Brandon and Ranell (and Capri too!) welcomed the very handsome Collin Jace Whicker into the world last Friday! He is a studly young man, with a head full of beautiful brown hair. My bald little Mason is looking forward to meeting his pre-arranged best friend. Congrats to the Whickers, and their beautiful family!
(Oh, and PS. Mason really likes to sit up in carts, and take in all the attractions. See? He really is huge!! Ugh. My baby is getting to be such a big boy. I am going to wake up tomorrow, and he'll be 5!! Note to Mason: You are upsetting your mother. Please stop growing so quickly.)
