2 MONTHS old?!

That's right my friends. Mason is two months old as of yesterday. Holy smokes. Time flies. Way. Too. Fast. He had an appointment with his pediatrician yesterday, and as well as getting like 7 vaccines, we also got his stats! So as of February 15th, he's where my little man stands:

Height- 22 inches, 50th percentile

Weight- 10lb 3oz, 25th percentile

Head Circumference- Don't remember the measurement, but, 75th percentile.

So he's skinny, and of average height, with a big noggin. The doctor also thinks he favors looking to one side of his head too much, and gave us some stretching exercises to do with his neck to loosen him up. He said his flat spot is also getting too pronounced, (probably because he favors the one side), and that if it doesn't get better he is going to refer us to someone at Primary's to help us work with him. It isn't anything serious to deal with, just a cosmetic issue. We don't want grown up Mason dealing with a flat noggin! So in the scheme of things if his main issue is to get his head lookin' pretty then I think we're doing a-okay! (And we are doing all the things we can to fix it on our own, so it shouldn't get to that point anyways!)

He's a pretty happy kid. Talking. ALOT! And loves to stick his tongue out. He especially loves it if you stick yours out at him. You are almost guaranteed a smile if you do! Mason is definitely a cuddler, and I live for bedtime when I snuggle him on the couch- it is my very favorite time of day. We got him a little stuffed frog a little while ago (see picture above), and he loves his Toad. He especially loves chewing on the Toad's eyes. He's getting smarter, and more fun every day. We adore the little bug!

Super Bowl- Future Chiefs Fan?!

My family hales from Missouri. Home of the almighty (and all-sucky!) Chiefs. My parents thought they could convert Mason early, and trick him into not knowing how bad the Chiefs are. So on SuperBowl Sunday, they dressed him up in some Chiefs apparel. Mason loves his Nana, and Papa... But, as you can plainly see, he's still unconvinced about the whole red and yellow scheme. That's alright. I'm sure they'll work him over soon enough.

Oh, and this picture is especially for Nana. Look at her hide behind that Diet Pepsi bottle. That's okay Nana. We wouldn't want people to be able to identify us in a Chief's jersey either :)

Valentine's Day, and The Date of the Month Club!

Valentine's Day is so fun when you're married... It gives you a reason to be lovey dovey and no one can ridicule you for it! My great friend Kamie showed me an awesome blog called Love Actually which has some really awesome cheap/homemade gift, and dating ideas. Kamie and her sister had used one of the ideas from the blog called "The Date of the Month Club". I made my own, and gave it to Nate for his Valentine's gift. It was really fun to make getting to put so much work into something special for Nate. He deserves it. I loved all the time I got to spend getting to know photoshop (pretty sure I cannot live without it anymore) and I can't wait to start the monthly dates!

This is the flier telling him he's been enrolled, and all the details of the membership.

These are the 12 dates to choose from. He gets to pick which one we do each month.

Part of the membership included a box of kisses. Each redeemable for a "real" kiss at anytime :)

These are the 2 "luxurious" vacations we will be taking this year. One will be a "Bed and Breakfast", the other "Las Vegas"! (Both will be taking place in our home. The Love Actually blog has all the instructions and ideas for the "vacations", and all the date ideas too!)

These are his "Romance Reward" tickets. Some say funny things, like the Doghouse Freebie (Which is a free pass to get him out of the doghouse!)-others are redeemable for things that he likes, like The Game Night Token, which gives him a night of guilt free gaming on his PS3.

Seriously, this was so fun to make. I am probablymore proud of it, and excited to do it than Nate is... But that's okay! He'll end up having a ton of fun doing it too!

Imaj Photos

Nate's cousin Jami came over in early January to take some pictures of the boy, and our family. She did an amazing job. And drove all the way from Payson to do said amazing job. To make us look as good as she did, you know she's a miracle worker. (Okay, okay. Mainly me. My boys are total studs.) Check out her blog. You'll love it. Honest. Talent runs through the Whicker veins. Let's hope Ace picked up some of that goodness. Here's a sample of Jami's handy work. Enjoy :)

My Incredible...

HUNK! This kid is seriously so adorable. His smile would melt your heart, I'm just sure of it. And when he stares up at you so intently, like in the picture below; you just might feel like you are the most important person in the entire world. My kid can pay compliments and he can't even speak yet. Look out Einstein, Mason Dean is on your heels!

His Nana got him the cute onesie. Isn't it the best?! We love it. It's a favorite.

Now, time for Kerianne's thought of the afternoon. I think most women dream of having their own little girl one day. Someone who's nails they can paint, and hair they can curl- a little dolly to dress as you please! I am here to tell you, secretly, deep down, I was probably one of those pregnant mom's who hoped for that very scenario. Just like daddy's wish for there own little soccer players, I wanted my princess! But- I am here today to recant those wishes, and thank my lucky stars someone knew me better than I know myself. Because I am head over heels in love... with my little boy. He is all I ever could have asked for, and so much more. He was honestly the perfect fit for us. We adore him. Wouldn't ever trade him :) I mean, look at this face. How could you not want to kiss it right off him?!

And who knows, maybe one day, (after a long series of days... years and years worth of days) I will get my princess. But, honestly, if I never did, this little guy is enough to keep me endlessly happy and then some. And who can ask for more than that? Love you Ace :)
